This user session will involve advanced configuration techniques in order to solve everyday Indexing scenarios. The session will follow two paths: the use of TIFF images in recognition templates and the use of PDF files. At this point you will observe how to use Full Text indexing in order to build a catalog of all the text available on a document for searching in the iSynergy interface.
When using TIFF images you will see how to configure Xtractor to route to separate virtual filing cabinets with the use of a single index value. This feature will allow a user to drop all documents into a single virtual filing cabinet and Xtractor will route them to the correct filing cabinet. It will also be shown how to use masking to automatically process different documents with separate Xtractor templates. Once we have reached this point we will touch on sub-page processing and the ability to split documents up by document type.
Likewise, it will be shown how to use iDox to process PDF files for easy retrieval from iSynergy. iDox has the ability to parse a single PDF file into separate files and submit them all to iSynergy with the associated index data. Document identifiers will be shown to display the ease of selecting portions of a single PDF file for processing. You will see how to use an input folder to drop files in to be automatically processed and how input masks can be used to process different file types.
Finally, you will see how to configure Full Text to fully OCR documents and build a SQL catalog. Once configured, it will be shown how to view the available Full Text data and how to search the data to retrieve a document.
The session will be excellent for any IT admin that is looking to fully utilize the indexing automation that the system has to offer. It will open the door for reducing manual tasks in regards to indexing and retrieving documents.
